Praise and worship songs never fails to comfort me. When I am stressed out due to so many things around, I would pause for awhile and allow me to listen to these glorious songs. They remind me that God is alive and that He is concerned. God is good.

Also... just realised... this video says "Abolish the electoral college and put the power BACK in the hands of we the people."

I agree with the sentiment (aboish the electoral college!) but the Founding Fathers set up the electoral college specifically to create a break bewtween the people and the president. Same with the old electoral colleges for senators. Obviously the Founding Fathers were wrong on that and it's good we got rid of the electoral college for senators. We need to correct their mistake on the Presidency as well. But that would mean we're not moving back, but forward to new areas of democracy.

Interesting video. Some good points.
could do with...

They passed the Patriot Act to attack our civil liberties without even reading it! And you did nothing!
You asked them to catch Osama Bin Laden and and instead they diverted troops to fight against Iraq!

it would round it out.

The Ten Commandments teaches 'thou shalt not kill.' The Hebrew word we have translated as 'kill' is more properly translated 'take the life of an innocent.' We call that 'murder' and so it is. To the question, 'would you kill Hitler' I would answer, that depends. Early in his career? Certainly not. Who could know what he would do with certainty. But after he began his diabolical reign? I would answer yes, as certainly as German pastor Dietrich Bonhoeffer answered yes and lost his life as a result of his involvement in the attempt. My thinking is that hate and revenge are wrong motives. Protecting life is a correct motive. If it is acceptable for me to take a life in protecting the lives of my family members, or to take the life of an enemy in war to protect my life and the lives of my comrades, how is the taking of the life of one who 'takes the lives of the innocent' wrong? Not out of revenge, but out of the attempt to protect innocent life? Let me quickly add that I DO NOT condone the killing of abortion doctors. But that sentiment is more based on the fact that such killing is counter-productive to the cause of life. The Scriptures teach that the 'sword' is given to the government. That it is the government that is to utilize that sword to protect life. The Scriptures also teach that government was instituted by God to reward good and punish evil. What are we to do in an age where government rewards evil and punishes good? At that point has government not abdicated it's God given mandate? What then are we, as believers, to do?

I wouldn't have done or condoned it, but as all things I believe it serves God's purpose.

Romans 8:28 (English Standard Version)
28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

Murder is wrong. Abortion is also wrong, as it is murder. They both violate moral law, and the Law of God. Taking a life for revenge will not reclaim the tens, hundreds or thousands of lives that either Hitler or a doctor that performs abortions took. It may make someone "feel good" that this person can no longer perform abortions, but even if you can justify it in your head, it is still wrong. If we do not have that moral law, or the Law of God, we end up like the Israelites in Judges 21:25 "....everyone did as he saw fit".
I honestly can't answer the question about taking out Hitler. I think that as a human taking out Hitler may have prevented some deaths. But honestly - to "take someone out" goes against the 6th commandment which prohibits murder. Again MURDER is wrong. Killing a person in defense of another person is not murder. Killing Hitler in defense of myself, or another person whose life was in jeapardy is a different story, and I would not hesitate to act. But killing Hitler because he has killed in the past, and will *probably* kill in the future, to me is murder. You would be taking revenge for his past killings, or trying to predict how your actions would justify his future killings (unknown, but to him and God).
That's just my 2 cents.

Just think what could get accomplished by God's people w/ all that! Wait a minute! We're empowered by God to do anything we can set our minds on anyway.

It's too bad the general public falls prey to the "news" that certain networks put out which is basically just propaganda. Look @ who is in the White House! That's a prime example of the gullibility of the public.

Some advice for you all: pay off your debt & live w/in your means. Start now B4 U wind up getting foreclosed like the suckers who listened to their realtors (think of the angel & devil on the shoulders in the movie Animal House whispering in the guy's ears). While Jesus said give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar, don't forget to tithe.

Return back to worthy causes to show God U don't take Him for granted.
