Geeks for Christ

Geeks for Christ will be down for a few days while I work on some changes. When it comes back online you will notice quite a few changes. The most important change will be the integration of several other boards I have into Geeks for Christ.

Geeks for Christ board will be only for the original intention I had made it for, wich was for Christian Geeks.

Most of the other content will be moved to gfcmoms.com

Any peaceful discussions on Christian matters, along with some Bible studies will be available at eatyourbible.com

If you wish to debate, you can do so at challengemybeliefs.com

Also I will be adding a special board for people who have had or are thinking about getting weigh loss surgery. This site is called christianbandits.com

All these sites will be integrated into Geeks for Christ. The user database will be the same for each board. You will be able to post on any board you wish.

I apologize for the inconvenience but I believe this is the best plan for the future of Geeks for Christ. The board has gone into so many different directions that I think it’s time to separate it into different boards that will allow the different interest and personalities to participate without the fear of offending or being offended.

In the near future I will be changing the software that we use for the forum to phpBB3. Due to the fact that the current forum that I use has changed it’s licensing and the plugin for wordpress will no longer be supported, I will be forced to make these changes. It is very upsetting to me after all the hard work I have put into making this website work.

Another change that is coming is the integration of http://challengemybeliefs.com into the forum.  The reason I am doing this is because our forum has grown stagnant and no longer generates the bandwidth that it once did in the past. For some reason unknown to me, most of our members do not like to post. That is why I am opening the board to whomever want to join.

I know this will increase the amount of moderation that I will have to do, however it will open up our board to be able to share the gospel with others. I hope that those of you that been here for a long time understand and will keep me up in prayer that God directs me in the proper way.

Please take a minute or 2 to familiarize yourself with the new website. You can still access the forum by clicking the Forum link on top. Please be patient while I integrate the forum into this new site. Pretty soon I will also integrate everyones blogs into this site also. For now enjoy the site.
